Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood has said that education is every child’s fundamental and undisputed right, and through the “Back to School Campaign 2025”, the Government of Punjab is taking comprehensive measures not only to increase school attendance but also to improve the quality of education. Parents, teachers, and society as a whole must play their role in this national responsibility so that we can give the coming generations a bright future.

He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the “Back to School Campaign 2025” organized by the Department of Education at Government Comprehensive Higher Secondary School.

On this occasion, Director Education Elementary Hassan Muhammad Anjum, CEO Education Tanveer Ahmed Ghazali, Additional Director Tanveer Ahmed Kamalvi, District Education Officers, teachers, parents, and a large number of students were also present.

Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood said that in order to ensure children’s return to schools and regular attendance, special events, awareness walks, and parent outreach drives have been launched so that maximum enrolled children continue attending classes.

He further stated that the Punjab Government has placed special emphasis on improving the basic infrastructure of educational institutions, training teachers, and modernizing the curriculum to ensure that quality education reaches every child.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner distributed books, notebooks, and school bags among children and urged them to focus on their studies. The Education Department also provided awareness material to parents and students.

The Deputy Commissioner added that the district administration and the education department are determined to create a pleasant educational environment in schools and to reduce the dropout rate, and this commitment will continue during and after the campaign.
